To enrol in our programmes or access certain areas of the Website, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including your username and password. You accept responsibility for all activities conducted under your account.
You agree to notify BGS immediately of any unauthorised access, security breach, or misuse of your account. It is your responsibility to ensure that you log out at the end of each session. BGS shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account details.

You are strictly prohibited from reproducing, modifying, copying, uploading, distributing, or republishing for a standard duration of five (5) years from the date of enrolment.
Requests for extension beyond this duration may be considered in special circumstances and must be submitted in writing for approval by BGS. Extensions, if granted, shall be subject to BGS’s discretion and any applicable fees or administrative charges.
BGS reserves the right to revise or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be published on this page, and your continued use of the Website following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
We encourage users to review the Terms and Conditions periodically to stay informed of any updates.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the information and resources provided on the Website are accurate and up-to-date, BGS makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, or availability of the content.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BGS shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to, or use of, the Website or its services.
BGS reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to terminate your access to the Website or any part thereof at any time and without notice, particularly in the event of a breach of these Terms and Conditions.
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
By enrolling at the British Graduate School (BGS), you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable licence to access and use our online platform and associated educational resources strictly for your own personal, academic, and non-commercial use. This licence is subject to the terms of this agreement and does not confer any ownership rights upon you.
The online platform encompasses all digital course materials, lectures, downloadable files, assessments, tools, and multimedia content available through the BGS virtual learning environment (VLE). You are permitted to access these resources solely through official BGS interfaces. Any attempt to bypass security protocols or use unauthorised access routes is strictly forbidden and may result in immediate termination of your enrolment.
You are not permitted to:
Reproduce, duplicate, republish, transmit, or disseminate any part of the platform content without written permission;
Share your login credentials with third parties or allow others to access your account;
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from the course content;
Engage in data scraping, reverse engineering, or unauthorised data extraction;
Record or broadcast live online classes without prior written consent.
Violations of these terms may result in suspension or permanent revocation of access to the platform, legal action, and/or academic sanctions.
Upon successful enrolment and activation of your student account, you will receive access to your registered programme’s learning resources, including digital modules, assessment guidelines, recorded sessions, and academic support documents.
The standard duration of access is five (5) years from the date of enrolment. During this time, you are expected to complete your studies, assessments, and any capstone projects or dissertations as applicable. This access period allows flexibility to balance study with professional or personal commitments.
Should you experience unforeseen circumstances that hinder your ability to complete the programme within this timeframe, you may submit a written request for an extension. Such requests will be assessed individually and may incur administrative charges. Approval is at the discretion of BGS and extensions are not guaranteed.
Access to the platform may also be suspended temporarily due to non-payment of tuition fees, academic misconduct investigations, or breach of platform usage terms.
We understand that circumstances may change, and learners may need to cancel their enrolment. BGS offers a fair and transparent refund policy aligned with UK consumer protection laws.
Refunds may be requested within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of course access activation, provided that you have not extensively accessed or downloaded significant course content. In cases where substantial use of course material has occurred, refunds may be refused.
Beyond the 14-day period, tuition fees are considered non-refundable, except in exceptional cases involving institutional error or force majeure. All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the BGS Student Services team.
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (UK).
All tuition fees must be paid in full prior to course commencement or in accordance with an officially approved payment plan. BGS offers flexible installment plans to support learners in managing their educational expenses.
Failure to maintain payment obligations may result in:
Temporary suspension of access to course materials;
Delays in assessment submissions and feedback;
Withholding of transcripts or official certificates;
The addition of late payment administrative fees.
It is the learner’s responsibility to ensure that payments are made promptly as per the agreed schedule. Final certification and programme completion status will only be awarded upon full clearance of financial obligations.
From time to time, BGS may offer merit-based or need-based scholarships, or promotional discounts. These offers are subject to availability and eligibility criteria.
Terms and conditions apply to all promotional offers. Scholarships and discounts cannot be transferred, combined, or exchanged for cash. In the event of breach of payment terms, promotional discounts may be revoked and standard tuition fees may be reinstated.
Promotions may also be time-limited and subject to change or withdrawal without notice.
Your personal data is handled in strict accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and BGS’s internal Data Protection Policy. We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of your personal information.
Data collected during registration and throughout your studies may include contact information, academic records, identification documents, and learning activity logs. This data is used solely for academic administration, service delivery, regulatory compliance, and communication purposes.

Suspected breaches will be investigated and, if substantiated, may result in penalties ranging from mark deduction to expulsion from the programme and withdrawal of awarded qualifications.

Certificates and transcripts are issued in collaboration with the relevant awarding organisation and are subject to their verification timelines, typically ranging from 4 to 12 weeks.
Progression opportunities to university-level studies are contingent upon individual institutional criteria. While BGS offers pathways and guidance, we do not guarantee admission to any third-party institution.
BGS reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any updates will be published on the official website. Continued use of our platform constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
Learners are encouraged to check the Terms periodically for changes and updates.
Thank you for choosing the British Graduate School. We look forward to supporting your academic and professional journey.
