Qualification Overview

The Qualifi Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work is designed to equip learners with essential knowledge and practical skills required to provide effective emergency first aid in the workplace. Learning Outcomes

By the end of this qualification, learners will be able to:

• Understand the roles and responsibilities of a first aider 
• Conduct an initial assessment of the situation and the casualty 
• Provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty, including CPR 
• Deliver first aid to someone who is choking 
• Manage external bleeding and apply appropriate treatment 
• Understand how to treat a casualty in shock 
• Provide care for minor injuries such as cuts, grazes, and burns

Entry Requirements

This qualification is open to individuals who meet the following criteria:

• Minimum Age: Learners must be 16 years or older 
• Educational Level: Learners should be capable of working at Level 2 or above 
• English Language: A sufficient command of the English language is required to complete written and verbal assessments 
• Physical Capability: Learners must be physically able to demonstrate CPR and other first aid techniques, including performing chest compressions on the floor 

Note: There are no formal academic prerequisites. However, entry is at the discretion of the approved training centre, which will assess a learner’s suitability before enrolment.
